Long Term Sub All About Food/Kitchen Support

What may appear to be wintertime fun and frivolity are lessons in teamwork, leadership, and communication--check out the pics below from ODE yesterday--

Before break, one of our students began a drive to collect goods for the Houlton Humane Society. On that Friday, he delivered much needed pet supplies and a check for $150 to Houlton’s Humane Society. Volunteer Linda Sewell greeted us warmly and expressed genuine gratitude for the donations. John was treated to a tour of the facility and was able to visit with the shelter cats and dogs awaiting adoption. Thanks to our Katahdin Schools students and staff who contributed to this worthy cause. Thinking of adopting or volunteering your time? Visit the home page to view the pets up for adoption and more information. Thanks to John for sharing his time and kind heart with the pets while they await their forever home.

Good afternoon RSU 89 students, staff, and community members! One of our students has asked if we will provide a space to collect supplies for pets that will be donated to local animal shelters. So, in this time of giving and meeting the needs of others, our furry friends need some support too! If you can donate any of the items on the attached flyer, we are looking to collect until December 22nd. Items can be dropped off at either the KES or KMHS offices and we thank you in advance for your support of our community pets!

Good afternoon everyone! A reminder that here at RSU 89, we have some events going on and coming up!
KES is hosting a festival of trees this week, and their music concert is on Thursday, December 14th!
KMHS has a craft fair on Saturday, December 16th with over 40 vendors. There will be food, crafts, and lots of goodies to see! Also, on Saturday there are two basketball games in the gym. We hope to see many community members there!

The Festival of Trees is under way. We hope to see you soon!
