Grade 4 students have been working on personal narrative writing. Each student wrote about a shared learning experience after visiting the Long family farm to pick potatoes and the Qualey family of Three Oaks Farm to watch the harvester. Students went home with insight into local agriculture and history, some tired muscles, and a bag of potatoes! On Friday, they attended an author’s picnic in celebration of their learning. They have finished their personal narrative writing unit and have wonderful stories to share.
