2024-2025 BUDGET INFORMATION

Question 1: Do you favor approving the Regional School Unit No. 89 budget for the upcoming school year that was adopted at the latest RSU budget meeting?

Question 1: Do you favor authorizing the School Board of Regional School Unit No. 89 (the “RSU”) to issue bonds and other evidences of indebtedness in the name of the RSU in an amount not to exceed $4,000,000 through the State of Maine’s zero interest rate/loan forgiveness School Revolving Renovation Fund (SRRF) Program for indoor air quality improvements to Katahdin Elementary School and Katahdin Middle/High School (the “Project”)?

                  SRRF Program Funding. The Project costs (up to $4,000,000) have been approved for funding through Maine’s SRRF Program. Of this amount, the RSU will receive 70% (up to $2,800,000) that will be forgiven, and 30% (up to $1,200,000) that the RSU will repay at zero interest (0%) over a term of ten years.

                  A “yes” vote means you approve the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 - June 30, 2025

A “no” vote means you do not approve the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2024-June 30, 2025
