Due to a storm day tomorrow and there being no school, Tuesday's lunch menu for the elementary school will change. Breakfast will still stay yogurt parfaits. Lunch will now be Mac and Cheese, Chicken Tenders, Peas, Peaches, and milk.

A fun and informative visit for our elementary and middle school students with Allagash George and local guides! Students learned about ice fishing and outdoor careers. The school even received ice fishing traps and jig poles as a gift. 🎣

Due to the cold weather, a Warming Center is opening at Katahdin Middle High School for residents in need of a safe, heated space.
WHERE: Katahdin Middle High School (800 Station Rd, Stacyville). Please use the Main Entrance.
WHEN: Tomorrow, Saturday, Jan 24, 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
PET POLICY: Service animals are welcome.
TRANSPORTATION: Please note that transportation is not available. Residents must provide their own travel to and from the center.
REMINDER: Please bring any necessary medications, phone chargers, and personal items you may need during these hours.

Agenda for School Board Meeting on January 22, 2026.

High school Journalism students participated in a real-world learning experience by practicing their interview skills during a visit from the CMCC Women’s Basketball team. Former Katahdin High School basketball player Hunter Hartsgrove, along with her CMCC teammates, spent time practicing while students conducted live interviews. The players expressed their appreciation for the opportunity and were impressed with the Katahdin Middle High School students.

The last two weeks in Outdoor Education have been 🔥—literally! Our high school students have been learning wilderness first aid and putting their survival skills to the test by building fires and boiling water for their midterm. Hands-on learning, real-world skills, and a big boost of confidence!

Our middle school Outdoor Ed students have been busy building collaboration and outdoor preparedness skills! Through activities like fire-starting and structured play, they’re practicing teamwork, communication, and cooperation—skills that matter both outdoors and in everyday life.

English midterms in action! 📚🎭. Students transformed an excerpt from Of Mice and Men into a play, bringing the characters and themes to life on stage. Their creativity, collaboration, and understanding of the text truly shined.

Due to the temps below zero with the wind chill and staffing shortages our Ski for Life trip to Big Rock today (1/16) has been canceled.

This is a reminder that today, Jan 14th, is an early release day. Students are released at 11:15.

Our students learned about different types of clouds and then brought them to life by creating their own.
