Our Outdoor English 2 seniors proudly completed their community service project with the rededication of the Katahdin trail system. Family members and community supporters joined us for this meaningful event as we honored the memories of Dustin Harris, Nick Hall, and Bob Dyer through dedicated trails in their names.
This project was a wonderful way for our students to give back, celebrate the outdoors, and recognize the lasting impact these individuals had on our school and community. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the day so special.

Our National Honor Society students spent time planting flowers in barrels as a community service project to help beautify and line the streets of Patten. We appreciate their hard work, teamwork, and dedication to giving back to our community!

The Northbound buses are doubling up tonight (5/28/26). If you wish to change your student's after school destination, please call the school office.

Our 3rd and 5th graders had the opportunity to go fishing today as part of the Hooked on Fishing program! We saw some awesome teamwork from our students as those who are experienced cheered on and helped classmates with less experience. Thank you to our local game wardens for assisting students and sharing their passion for outdoor adventures.

We are excited to offer your child the opportunity to participate in the College Immersion Experience designed for 8th graders at Thomas College located in Waterville, Maine. This opportunity is designed to provide students with a firsthand experience of college life, which has been shown to make college seem more attainable. Students will have the opportunity to attend specially designed activities and gain valuable "college knowledge" that can help shape their future academic aspirations.

Please help support our school and community by joining us tonight in the KES cafeteria for the budget town referendum vote. Your participation and support make a difference for our students and schools. We hope to see you there!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students had an incredible opportunity to explore the outdoors during a kayaking field trip on the Penobscot River with the Butler Foundation! Students learned about water safety, teamwork, and the natural beauty of our region while enjoying a fun and memorable adventure on the river. Thank you to the Butler Foundation for providing this amazing experience and helping our students build confidence, curiosity, and a love for the outdoors!

Huge thank you to the Katahdin Mason's Lodge #98 AF&AM, as well as many local contributors for sponsoring our annual Bikes for Books program. 14 lucky students were able to take home a brand new bike as a reward for their hard efforts and love for reading.

The cold morning temperature was a good reminder of how much we love our Ski4Life program!
